Resources for Parents
Parenting young children is many things: rewarding, demanding, challenging. There are so many sources of information: family, friends, health care providers, child care providers, newspapers/magazines, and the internet.
Finding infant/toddler care in NYC can be challenging.
A first step can be to contact the NYC Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) Consortium.
Call the toll free number 1-888-469-5999 for assistance.
A team of multilingual parent counselors will discuss your child care needs, share information about funding sources for child care, send information including “what to look for in finding quality child care” and customized referrals to licensed/registered programs and providers in the zip code/s where you are seeking child care.
Consortium members include:
- Child Care, Inc.
- Day Care Council of New York, Inc.
- Committee for Hispanic Children and Families, Inc.
- Child Development Support Corporation
- Chinese American Planning Council, Inc.
